In alignment with UNESCO’s 2023 Guidelines on Generative AI, the festival will raise awareness about the benefits and challenges of integrating AI in children’s education. It’s a vital opportunity to promote critical thinking and responsible tech use among young learners.
Festival highlights include the bilingual launch of Luísa Sobral’s book, “O Peso das Palavras,” featuring workshops and a public concert on April 6th. Joana Morgado Bento will present “A Semente do Amor,” discussing positive parenting, while “Era Uma Vez… A Minha Língua” will be introduced through a shadow theater performance.
A special session will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first Portugal-Macao flight, presenting “A Aventurosa Viagem do Pátria – de Portugal a Macau em plano (1924).” Additional offerings comprise creative workshops by Catarina Mesquita, yoga sessions with Ana Júlia Sampaio, and digital literacy training for educators from Adelina Moura.
Scheduled for April 16th, a public conference titled “AI in Education” will gather experts to discuss the implications of AI in academia, addressing both its benefits and its drawbacks. The festival will also feature unique theatrical performances and storytelling sessions at “A Night at the… Library,” plus an exhibition entitled “The Robot and I,” which displays art by local artists and students.
