The initiative produces wide-ranging effects including comprehensive data architecture frameworks designed for smoother integration with modern technologies.

With cybersecurity also at stake, the plan includes reforms to the Risk Management Framework by September 2027. This framework aims to embrace automation to reduce workload while also enhancing the security posture essential for protecting AI-enabled systems. Coordination with Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command will be key in defending against threats to these systems.

Governance remains a vital aspect, too. By September 2025, the AI governance requirements will need to be folded into readiness inspections. This is meant to create oversight that aligns with overall strategic goals and address existing policy gaps.

To further bolster collaboration, the Corps seeks to establish connections with industry and academic institutions, aiming to enhance the pace of AI development.
