AI effectively addresses travelers’ information needs, as highlighted in the report. Key inquiries travelers want answers to include top places to eat (54%), navigation tips (49%), safety advice (44%), and uncovering local hidden gems (43%).
Value for money remains crucial, as 56% of travelers prioritize it when selecting their next destination. Many view AI as a key ally for enriching their travel experiences; 28% appreciate AI-powered travel assistants for tailored hotel recommendations. Furthermore, 25% would not mind engaging with an AI chatbot during their hotel stay for immediate assistance.
In addition to AI, virtual reality is stepping into the spotlight in the travel arena. This immersive technology allows potential travelers to explore destinations virtually before booking, an enticing proposition for 66% of leisure travelers eager to ensure their trip aligns with expectations.
